Old Library Card Catalog

Found this on the side of the road as is, and then after we restored it.  Turned out nice.

I've started making ATC cards. Here are a few of them.

It's a hot day... thank God for air conditioning!    And I just finished making one pair of earrings. Love these little Charlotte's.

Iridescent Blue and Purple Morpho Menelaus Butterfly

Today i framed this beautiful butterfly found at an estate sale.  I made the shadow box and rescued this beauty from an aquarium that was sadly suffering...  It shimmers purple and blue!  They're originally from South America.   They are iridescent just on the front side.  But i bought it for only 2 dollars and it came in an aquarium with  several other butterflies.  It is 6" across!

From Wikipedia:
A morpho butterfly may be one of over 29 accepted species and 147 accepted subspecies of butterflies in the genus Morpho. They are Neotropical butterflies found mostly in South America as well as Mexico and Central America. Morphos range in wingspan from the 7.5 cm (3 inch) M. rhodopteron to the imposing 20 cm (8 inch) Sunset Morpho, M. hecuba. The name Morpho, meaning changed or modified, is also an epithet of Aphrodite and Venus.
